01. The "No Hate" Policy
We have absolute zero tolerance for hate speech. While we encourage ranting, hatred directed at protected groups is not venting, it's harm.
- blockNo slurs, derogatory language, or dehumanizing speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability.
- blockNo promotion of violent ideologies or extremist groups.
02. Venting vs. Harassment
There is a clear line between complaining about a bad experience and attacking another user.
Allowed
"I am so annoyed with my manager today, they never listen to my ideas!"
"Dating apps are the worst, nobody replies to me."
Not Allowed
"Hey [User], your profile is stupid and you sound like an idiot."
Posting real names, addresses, or identifying info of others.
03. Mental Health Safety
SootheMe is for venting everyday frustrations, not for crisis intervention.
Crisis Resources
If a user expresses immediate danger or crisis, they should be directed toward professional and local emergency support.
